Lost in Sound is reissued here in an expanded double-disc edition, newly remastered in both mono and stereo, pressed on heavyweight transparent magenta vinyl. It remains Yusef Lateefs sole album for the Charlie Parker label and captures the tenor saxophonist in spirited, first-rate form.

Concentrating entirely on tenor, Lateef swings with authority on a set rooted in straight-ahead modern jazz, providing a valuable snapshot of his more traditional side just before he began to more fully explore global and spiritual elements.
