Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim released his second album in 1998 pushing the Big Beat sound with chart topping singles. While not a Hip Hop album Fatboy Slim applied new sampling techniques with hard techno beats. Probably one of the most famous sampled hooks was the use of Lord Finesse’s snippet of “Right About Now, The Funk Soul Brother” in The Rockafeller Skank.
