Privately issued in the UK in 1976 and recorded in a single twelve-hour session at Spaceward Studios, Bob Hughes My Old Man is one of the lost treasures of British folks DIY underground.

Marking its 50th anniversary in 2026, the album captures this poet, singer-songwriter, and behavioural scholar at his creative peak – delivering intimate, melancholic folk and folk-rock songs that tackle social conflict, historical memory, and deeply personal narratives.

A defining UK private-press rarity and among the rarest and most valuable folk records of its era (less than 100 original copies in existence).

This reissue has been sought after for decades by underground private-press collectors.

Official one-time reissue copies available for RSD26.
