Notes:

Released in 1980, Seventeen Seconds marks The Cures pivotal turn toward the atmospheric, introspective sound that would define their legacy. Produced by Mike Hedges and Robert Smith, the album strips back the post-punk energy of their debut in favour of sparse, melancholic textures and hypnotic repetition. Tracks like A Forest and Play for Today became cornerstones of the emerging goth rock and new wave movements. This German Fiction Records original pressing is a highly desirable find for any serious Cure collector.
