Condition

Here’s a pressing that speaks to the sophisticated collector who understands that some of Canada’s most compelling jazz emerged from the Great White North during the 1970s. Moe Koffman, the Toronto-born flutist and saxophonist, was already a veteran of the Canadian jazz scene by the time this GRT compilation surfaced in 1975, having built his reputation through decades of session work and his own innovative recordings that bridged traditional jazz with funk and soul influences. This particular collection captures Koffman at his most accessible, featuring tracks that showcase his distinctive flute work and his band’s tight rhythm section that could lock into a groove with the best of them.
